Homemade Sloppy Joes
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ยพ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- ยฝ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp oil
- Burger buns
Instructions:
- Cook the beef
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat. - Add veggies
Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
Cook until soft and fragrant. - Make the sauce
Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Simmer
Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10โ15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and rich. - Serve
Spoon generously onto toasted burger buns.
